Cursive - The Casualty
This song changed my life. I remember it distinctly. I was 15 attending private christian school in Asheville, North Carolina. I was in my older sister’s jeep listening to a mix cd one of her guy friends made her. This song came on and it blew my mind. I’d never heard anything like it. It affected me. It was a sensation I’d never experienced with music. This was the first band I ever loved and the beginning of my “independent rock” journey. This little angsty song.
